INFORMATION
Transportation requests
A student will need to fill out a transportation request (like past years) if one of the below situations takes place.
1. The student is new to the area and did not have busing for WAPS or the schools that we provide busing for last year.
2. If the student no longer needs transportation. (This student should request to be pulled off the listings to avoid extra stops.)
3. The student needs to make a change to his/her transportation from the previous year. (Moving would be an example.)
If a student had transportation last year and has no changes that would require a different pick up or drop off, the student will already be in the system for this year and will be carried over to next year. Please note...Students that change schools (middle school to high school, St. Stans to Cotter, Bluffview to high school, etc,) do not have to request transportation. School choices are automatically updated by Infinite Campus so we do not need parents updating transportation for school changes.
I am sure there will be questions regarding this process. If there are, please send them to me. I'll be glad to coach anyone through this process. Again, this will make things much easier on families in and around Winona. For most, it will be one less thing they have to do to get ready for school. And for us, it will streamline the process and hopefully make it quicker so we can pass on the time savings to the parents and bus drivers.
